The inner voice

Mary Jean is not feeling good tonight
There is a pressure on her to marry Jim
She tries to remember her grand motherís words
Grandmother Molly who loved to sing

Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a wind blows wisdom in your ears
Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a breeze is tickling your tears

La, la, la

You should listen to your inner voice
When it tells you that something is wrong
When you have this funny feeling
And you still are going strong

Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a wind blows wisdom in your ears
Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a breeze is tickling your tears

La, la, la

When your stomachís feelings knocks on the door
Just to tell you that something isnít right
You should listen to that little voice
May be it is your self respect who wants a fight

Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a wind blows wisdom in your ears
Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a breeze is tickling your tears

La, la, la

If you canít hear it, lay down and listen
Take your time to breathe deep in and out
If something is totally wrong.
Your inner voice will tell you with no doubt

Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a wind blows wisdom in your ears
Can you hear the angels how they are whispering
As if a breeze is tickling your tears

La, la, la
